Description
"With the dog days of summer now upon us, lighter and more refreshing wines become the choice. Grüners, as a grape variety, resemble Sauvignon Blancs without the herbal component and finish with a much lighter and rounder touch. This bottling from Anton Bauer has a creaminess of texture with subtle hints of white pepper and citrus that lead to a soft and completely dry aftertaste. The 2022 Grüner Veltliner Gmirk is picked on the border of Feuersbrunn and Fels on a mix of loam with some loess and fermented in stainless steel. Creaminess and smooth yeast are immediately apparent on the nose. The palate adds white pepper and crushed herb tones on the smooth, cooling soothing savoriness. The finish is bedded on this buffering yeast, always shimmering with spiciness. (Bone-dry)
