Ever so suave and alluring, this ultra-stylish Spanish red from the fascinating Arínzano region impressed me as an elegant fusion of a Ribera del Duero, a Rioja Reserva, and a young Margaux. Succulent and well-focused on the palate, it expresses complex flavors and aromas of violet, cherry, blackberry, mineral, and light oak spice. The silky texture matches seamlessly with the finely layered red fruit. An incredible value, it offers the refinement and class of wines costing two or three times as much. It is delectable now (pull the cork 30 minutes before serving), with plenty of graceful evolution ahead.
