Description
The Chenin Blanc grapes for this wine come primarily from the Badenhorst family farm in the foothills of South Africa’s imposing Paardeberg Mountain. The dry-farmed vineyard is planted with ancient, low-yielding bush vines, which thrive on the area’s granite soils. Fermented in both tanks and older French oak casks, the wine rests on the lees for seven months with occasional stirring before bottling. Made in a pleasantly dry style, it is loaded with flinty honey, orange blossom, and white stone-fruit notes, finishing with discreet tropical notes.
