Just bottled six weeks ago, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Montecillo is a tremendous wine from this site. Waves of dark fruit, gravel, spice, tobacco and dried herbs are all dialed up because of tiny yields that year. Sumptuous and massive, the 2021 is an infant. I wouldn't dream of touching a bottle for another decade, and even that may not be enough to soften the huge, imposing tannins. I hope to have a chance to taste it again in the future. It's a super-classic Sonoma Valley wine.
