The 2023 Les Champauvins Viognier opens with a fresh, inviting bouquet of sliced peach, apricot, and enticing minerality. It's a marvel of plush flavors and aromas of honeysuckle, stone fruit, persimmon, and yellow apple, enlivened by fresh acidity well-embedded throughout. The long finish lets the fruit ripple its way along, with a brilliant surge of minerality adding grace and energy. Drink now and over the next one to two years.

All Viognier, the 2023 Côtes du Rhône Les Champauvins Blanc is also beautiful, with juicy citrus and quince-like notes as well as minty herbs and mineral nuances. I wouldn't guess Viognier, but I love its overall purity, it's medium-bodied, and it has a gorgeous texture and a great finish.
