"This rich and full-bodied Syrah from the northern Rhône Valley in France comes from 45-year-old vines that produce a wine with flavors of blackberry and plum. As a CW Direct Import as well as a wine from a 'less famous' appellation, this wine is an absolute steal! Enjoy it with your favorite meat dish on a cold February night, or with steaks on the grill all year-round."

La Cheeserie Pairing: Beaufort d'Alpage
Made from hand harvested Syrah grapes from 45 year old vines in the Crozes-Hermitage appellation. This wine was fermented in temperature controlled concrete vats and aged for 9 months in French Barrique. A deep ruby in colour with a concentrated blackberry nose. The palate is rich with bramble fruits, plum, mulberry, cloves and a spicy black pepper character on the finish.
Brought up all in demi-muids (a small part new), the 2022 Crozes-Hermitage Cuvée Particulière is based on 100% Syrah and has already been bottled. Ripe red and black fruits, pepper, baking spices, and savory floral notes develop nicely with time in the glass, and it hits the palate with medium-bodied richness, a nicely balanced, structured mouthfeel, and outstanding length. Give bottles a year or two to integrate some of its tannins and enjoy through 2030.
