Crafted by the Cazes family of Bordeaux at their Châteauneuf-du-Pape estate, the 2023 Famille JM Cazes Côtes du Rhône Blanc is a classic Rhône blend of Grenache Blanc, Clairette, Viognier, and Bourboulenc. Light crystalline hue with subtle green reflections; the nose offers bright aromas of white peach, pear, and exotic fruits. The palate is lively and refreshing, offering a harmonious blend of ripe stone fruits, tropical notes, and soft floral undertones. A rounded texture gives way to a clean, zesty finish. Balanced and versatile, try it with classic French dishes like bouillabaisse and blanquette de veau, as well as grilled or poached salmon, roasted poultry, or creamy risotto.
— Ben Giliberti, CW Director of Wine Education
Armed with their know-how from Château Lynch Bages, a Grand Cru Classé in Pauillac, the Cazes family moved to the southern Rhône Valley and acquired Domaine des Sénéchaux (Châteauneuf-du-Pape) in 2006. The adventure continues today with the creation of a range of Côtes du Rhône wines, made from a selection of the region's finest plots. This Côtes du Rhône reveals aromas of white peach, pear, exotic fruit and apricot.
