The hills of Dogliani, located just south of the Barolo zone, produce the finest Dolcetto wines of the Italian Piedmont. Softer, fruitier, and more pliable than Nebbiolo, Dolcetto offers more immediate drinking pleasure than Barolo and Barbaresco while maintaining the prized Piedmont characters of brightness, verve, and depth. Glowing with Dolcetto's cheery red-purple color, this wine doles out generous aromas and flavors of blackberries and raspberries backed up by brisk, fresh Piedmont tannins.
Cheese Pairing: Cambozola
Red-purple in color with violet nuances. Characterised by aromas of blackberries, raspberries, blueberries and red cherries with mineral notes. On the palate the wine is medium bodied, with soft tannins, moderate acidity and a good balance.
