I am not here to review my wine pick for this month; Jeb Dunnuck (93pts.) and many others have already taken care of that. I am here to let you know that if you like red and black fruit with a balance of pepper, licorice and vanilla spice to give this wine a try. I loved it.
The Thunevin-Calvet's winemaking team blends traditional methods with innovation to craft this powerful yet finely finessed Mourvèdre and Grenache blend. It's savory enough for grilled meats and silky enough for easy enjoyment.

La Cheeserie Pairing: Mimolette
A solid step up over the 2018, the 2019 Côtes Du Roussillon Villages L'Amourette is a 60/40 split of Mourvèdre and Grenache offering a great nose of spiced red and black fruits as well as notes of sandalwood, peppery garrigue, herbes de Provence, and some loamy, chalky minerality. Beautiful on the palate as well, with medium to full-bodied richness, it's balanced, has ripe tannins, and a great finish. It's going to keep for a decade.
