I had this Côtes du Rhône in early May at our Xavier Vignon wine dinner and it was one of the most impressive wines of the night for many customers, including myself. The quality-to-price ratio is astounding, and it stood up very well to wines costing 3-4 times more. It’s elegant and smooth on the palate, with soft tannins and bright acidity making it a wonderful wine to pair with anything from pot roast and duck cassoulet to roasted vegetables and mushroom risotto. Open 30+ minutes before serving. - Jenn S.
La Cheeserie Pairing: Mahón
Selection of 156 high-altitude plots offering a complete reading of almost 100% of the terroirs in the Southern Rhône Valley : sand, clay, limestone. Vinification carried out separately by « couple » of grape varieties with similar maturity. 10% reserve wine is added to the blend to soften structure and bring tertiary aromas. 50% grenache, 15% syrah, 12% mourvèdre, 10% cinsault, 5% marselan, 5% caladoc, 3% couston.
