“This entry-level Nebbiolo from one of Italy’s top Barbaresco producers, Albino Rocca, is easily one of our top values from the Piedmont region. Coming largely from the Roero part of the Piedmont, it shows an elegant style with bright berry-like fruit followed by soft and supple tannins. This medium-bodied red should be drinking best for the next three to four years. This will pair nicely with most red meats but can show equally well with pasta dishes and chicken.”

La Cheeserie Pairing: Manchego Aged 12 Mos
From La Mancha comes this fabulous and truly artisan raw milk, one-year-old Manchego cheese. Smooth, oily, nutty and fruity, this classically flavored sheep’s milk cheese is a CW favorite.
The 2021 Langhe Nebbiolo Rosso di Rocca is a blend mostly of Nebbiolo from Roero with a touch of Cabernet Franc left over from the experimental days in Piedmont. Crushed red berry fruit, mint, spice, lavender and dried herbs all grace this exquisite, affordable Piedmont red. Drink it over the next few years.
