Enrique Mendoza Description
Bright ruby-red in color, this wine shows expressive notes of fresh black cherries and red berries mingled with hints of sweet spice, toast and cocoa. On the palate, this accessible red shows silky texture, liveliness and long length.
Wine Advocate: 88-91 Points
The red 2021 La Tremenda feels a bit reductive and oaky, but it's not yet bottled. It's primary and has good ripeness at 14% alcohol but feels light and fresh, with a medium body and fine tannins. Give it some time, a few months would do it good. It matured in used 500-liter oak barrels for six months.
